Tombstone Inscriptions are a valuable source of research material in genealogy.
The recorded Inscriptions from Kane Old Graveyard, Faughart Old Graveyard, Urney Old Graveyard, St.Nicholas Old Graveyard Kilcurry, Castletown Old Graveyard and Ballymascanlon Churchyard, as well as a record of interrments at Bridge-a-Crin Cemetery and Kilcurry Cemetery, are available on this site.
Kane Parish Pound has now been cleaned up and the outline of the walls has been restored. The entrance to the Souterrain, which is within the walls of the Pound, has been further protected and has had a cover fitted. This work was carried out with the assistance of Peace II Louth County Council-led Task Force.
This work earned 1st place in Louth County Council Environment Awards for Old Graveyards in November 2005
