St. Nicholas Old Graveyard, Kilcurry.

The Church of Ireland Church of St. Nicholas in Kilcurry is also known as "Tinley's Church", built by Rev. Gervais Tinley in 1815. Locally, it is known as "Maji's", although we cannot ascertain the reason for this, nor can anyone be sure of the spelling. Locals suggest it may refer to a window in the church depicting the Maji.
The main body of the church was demolished in the late 1940s. Only the bell tower remains as a landmark on the elevated site. The bell is said to have been removed to the Mount Oliver convent at Mountpleasant. There are few marked graves although there are said to be other burials in these grounds.
